Bobbie’s work is always exhibited at her studio, but it is the seasonal shows that draw the most attention. The last Saturday in April, patrons come to see the newest glazes and pots offered in the scenic grounds of her historic Lake Norman home.
The first Saturday in November is the Carolina Pottery Festival at the LeGrand Center in Shelby, NC. This show hosts close to a hundred different potters, so look for BhBlack Pottery in Booth#25 every year.
The second Saturday in November is the biggest day at BhBlack Pottery. Get started on the Christmas list with hundreds of collectors, come to see the dazzling display of ceramics under the spectacular fall foliage. A large cauldron of homemade Brunswick stew cooks over an open fire and visitors enjoy the fellowship while getting started in the Christmas gift list or choosing pieces for themselves.
Visiting Bobbie’s studio is more than shopping, it is an experience to remember. While the studio is open most days, it is best to call ahead for daily hours of operation.
